Découpage is the process of creating a three dimensional effect by layering pictures or parts of pictures on to different layers. If you think of layers in photoshop printed on to seperate acrylic sheets then mounted with set spacing, then you can begin to see how to use this fantastic presentation medium. Unique pieces of modern art can be created using this technique, without any extra consideration for setting up particular situations / posses, within the photo session.
Freestanding découpage is the process of printng on several different 5mm acrylic slides then linking them together with clear acrylic rods creating a head turning 360 degree three dimensional piece of modern art. This product enables the photographer to express their work in the form of sculpture.
The 'internal' acrylics to the découpage are made with 90 degree edge finishes, with the first and last acrylic having a 45 degree bevelled edge finish. All our edge finishes are put through a two stage process to achieve the highest quality of finish possible.
All découpages are supplied with 8 stain metal fixings as standard. Chrome, Black and Brass are available at a small additional charge.
Each acrylic slide in the découpage is seperated by an acrylic rod. The standard rods are 100mm in length. Rods are available in 25mm, 50mm, 75mm and 100mm lengths. The length of the acrylic rods needed for your découpage depends on how many acrylic slides you want your découpage to consist of. |  | |
